This is the third mix in what will eventually be a 10+ volume compilation of my favorite music from the 80's. You can check out the main page with other volumes here or just click on the art below to download the Summer edition.

Volume 3: Bret Easton Ellis Summer Edition. Whereas the first two mixes eschewed any "trappings" of the "typical" 80's sounds, this new volume embraces the aesthetic with open, rolled-up pastel-colored linen-suited arms. The concept is a summer day-turned-night in the life of a Bret Easton Ellis character (minus the serial killings). Our 20-ish protagonist starts the morning at his rich dad's Malibu beachfront bungalow where he walks down to the shoreline to smoke some herb and maybe wrestle with some existential issues. Ensuing over the next 24 hours: relationship drama, yacht party, brushes with celebrity, popped polo shirt collars, Ray-Ban Wayfarers, cocaine, house parties, and casual sex.
